AWARD FOR METHODS TO REPLACE ANIMAL USE IN REGULATORY TESTING

THE INTERNATIONAL PHARMACOLOGY CONFERENCE AND THE 55TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE INDIAN PHARMACOLOGICAL SOCIETY IPC-IPSCON 2025

We propose to introduce a new award to be presented at the International Pharmacology Conference (IPSCON 2025), to honor individuals, research teams, or organizations that have demonstrated exceptional innovation, leadership, or impact in the development, validation, or regulatory application of non-animal methodologies that are used in regulatory submissions. As regulatory science progresses toward more ethical, efficient, and human-relevant safety assessment tools, recognizing pioneers in this field is both timely and necessary. The award would highlight the importance of integrating alternative methods into regulatory frameworks and encourage broader adoption across sectors. Recognizing such contributions at a prominent conference will promote ethical scientific innovation, encourage young researchers and institutions to invest in and adopt human-relevant methodologies, and showcase the scientific and societal value of non-animal approaches.
